Style: Acrylic Painting

For months I saw this image in my mind and I knew I had to bring her to light. Being an abstract artist, painting specific images has never been my specialty so knowing I had to paint a face was going to be quite the task at hand. As I was leaving certain parts of the canvas open where I knew I wanted details of the face to be present I had accidentally poured my watered down acrylic too heavily and it started running down the canvas before I was able to stop it. Little did I know that mistake was going to be a very pleasant surprise. The way the water poured across the canvas ended up being perfectly placed for her hair. This is why her hair gives the impression that it is blowing in the wind because as the paint was running it created an effect that moved along the canvas with a delicate flow. At that moment I knew she was also helping me create her. I used the outline that the pouring created and started to work on top of the guidance that was given to me. If you look closely there are not specific details that place certain facial features in the given a work of art, yet the face is clearly present. Which brings to light that in reality the mind can imagine those features without specific lines present. Overall, this piece spoke to me both in my dreams and while creating her.

Intention:

I think it is so important for someone to know just how much of a blessing they are. The financial gain from the purchase of this piece will be going towards paying all my financial bills for one month so that I can take a month to write my book, “The Art of Positivity.” I have always wanted to help others live in happiness and have always strived to live my own life with a complete positive mindset. There is an art in the way of thinking and how you can train your mind by viewing life from a different perspective can be such a rewarding process. This book will be an interactive book with daily motivational tasks that can help the mind result in positive thinking while also adding a hint of comic relief from my own personal experiences I have encountered during my own process.
